Home Retreats: A Calming Online Mindfulness Day

Sharpham Trust’s Mindfulness for Challenging Times is a one-day Home Retreat offering for anyone seeking steadiness and support through uncertain or demanding seasons of life.

Held online from your own home, the retreat brings the feel of a shared retreat day into everyday space, with live teachings and guided meditation sessions led by experienced facilitators.

As part of Sharpham Trust’s Online Retreats and Virtual Retreats, this gathering combines mindfulness practice, self-compassion teachings, and a supportive community atmosphere across a single day.

What You Experience During the Day

This one-day home retreat is shaped around live guided practice, with teachings and meditation sessions offered by skilled facilitators throughout the day.

Alongside the guided elements, participants come together for group sharing, creating space for connection, empathy, and a sense of retreat community even while joining remotely.

Mindful movement practices such as qi-gong and yoga are also included, alongside daily nature connection practices that support a feeling of being part of the natural world from home.

Sharpham Trust provides downloadable practices as well, supporting time away from the screen and offering resources that can be returned to after the retreat day concludes. Teachings explore how mindfulness and self-compassion can help people stay steady through challenging times.

A Small-Group Retreat Community (Max 15 Participants)

A defining feature of this home retreat is its small-group setting. Sharpham Trust holds participants in a supportive and nurturing community across the day, with opportunities to connect and share experiences together.

Group sharing sessions encourage connection and empathy, with space for smaller group conversations within the overall retreat circle. With a maximum of 15 participants, the day is designed to feel personal, attentive, and held.

Participants are invited to be fully available, supporting group coherence and a settled sense of shared presence. The retreat is experienced from home, with an emphasis on a confidential and undistracted space throughout.

Facilitators Guiding the Retreat

Sharpham Trust shares that this retreat is guided by experienced facilitators from their mindfulness and nature connection retreat team, with leaders varying depending on the available date.
