Opening: Event Overview

Oxford Mindfulness Foundation offers Day of Practice – Theme: Gratitude, a calm and structured live online one day home retreat within their Day of Practice series.

Held on Sunday 26 July 2026, this Home Retreat event runs from 10:00–15:00 UK time, creating a focused five-hour space for shared mindfulness practice online.

With gratitude as the guiding theme, the day is presented as a quiet Virtual Retreat, bringing the atmosphere of Online Retreats into a single dedicated practice day.

The Day of Practice (Guided Practice + Silence + Break)

This Day of Practice is held as a five-hour online home retreat, with guided mindfulness practice offered throughout the day.

Participants are guided through a rhythm of sitting, standing, and movement practices, with sessions lasting up to 30 minutes at a time. Alongside these guided periods, the day also includes extended periods of silence, allowing space for sustained practice.

The full five-hour structure includes a longer break, during which participants are invited to continue practising while eating a meal or engaging in other activities.

The home retreat is led by experienced teachers with deep knowledge of mindfulness and extended experience of guiding Days of Practice with groups.

Theme Focus: Gratitude

Each Day of Practice is typically shaped around a theme drawn from the attitudes explored within mindfulness practice and everyday experience. Themes often reflect qualities such as non-judging, patience, or letting go.

For this Day of Practice, the theme is Gratitude.

Guided practices across the Home Retreat hold the theme as an underlying flavour of gratitude alongside the wider mindfulness teaching. This might include exploring attitudes such as non-striving within a body scan, or a sense of allowing within a movement practice.
